Type Experiment 001 - Another
I recently read an article about South Korean designer Ahn Sang Soo which lead me to experiment with Hangul type. The characters are interesting because they must occupy a certain space and follow a common form, especially with vowel, W, and Y sounds. I Decided the design should read
“An - No - Teo”, which phonetically sounds like a Konglish word (as opposed to Anglicization) of the word “Another” similar to words like, “kolla” for “cola” or “apateu” for “apartment.” The word for “another” is “daleun” but I don’t think it looks as nice when I was sketching it out.
